Onam festival of Kerala- India

       Onam is the Festival of Kerala,India. It is the big Festival celebrated by Kerala People called Malayalees. It is the State Festival. It is the ten day Festival. There is Holiday for four days Starting from Onam’s First day and ends with Onam’s fourth day(Onam starts on the day of ATTAM Nakshatram and goes on till Tiruvonam Avittam Chadayam). On that Day they welcome King MAHABALI the Ruler who ruled Kingdom with Happyness and given welthand Helth. It is Also known as VAMAN JAYANTHI Of Lord Vishnu.

             Mahabali was the Grand Son of King Prahalad. Prahalad was the Devotee of lord Vishnu. When he ruled the kingdom all people treated equally and they are happy.
         The Festival Start on Malayalam Month  Chingam Which is the first month of the Malayalam Calendar  mostly Comes in August – September.  Malayalees Play various sports there is famous sports play by them is boat race. People rituals Festival, they make Traditional food, They enjoy with Dance and Music and Play Various Games.
