Holi - Festival of Color

Holi is the Festival of Colors n Love. Bura mat mano HOLI hai  (don’t be regret today is holi) This sentence said by everyone when playing Holi . as everyone knows that Holi is the festival of Hindu but in last few years its celebrated  by all. It is popular with no-Hindus also. 

It celebrated on Phalgun Purnima  hindu calander and in feb- march not fix date. It’s a two days festival. First day at night  when there is holika dahan(bonfire).  Stories tells that on that day Holika the evil wants to burn Prahalad but  God saves Prahalad n burns Holika. That’s why hindus celebrated for victory of  goodness. At night all people gadher and fires. People pray n sing a song and also dance.

The next  Morning is Dhuleti. On that day People plays chases and colors each other with dry powder like Abil-Gulal n colored water. People sing ,dance with drum and tap on the streets , open parks, outside temples and buildings. They Fight with colors spreading on each other with Pichakari. On that day People visits friends and family they get food  and drink together and palys Holi

On that day there is Public holiday. Offices, Schools, Banks, Colleges, Government sectors are closed.Holi is festival of Common man friend or stranger, rich or poor ,children or elder all together plays Holi.
